Independence Fire and EMS is proud to be a volunteer deparment. We receive no compensation for the fire and rescue services we gladly provide. Our mission is to provide the citizens of Independence Township a timely and professional response to fire, medical, vehicular, and environmental emergencies. Our department is dedicated to minimizing the loss of life and property through fire suppression, rescue, training and other innovative programs.
We also house an Emergency Operations Center, which can be utilized during times of natural disaster or national emergency.
